To move or not to move...

I've been quite for a few days because I'm pondering the possibility of moving my blog over to a WordPress account. I've been toying with a new blog name and just generally hoping to jumpstart my enthusiasm and find some real direction in my content. My biggest problem with Blogger is the comment system. I can't directly reply to comments, and that bugs me. Additionally I'd love a three column theme, but can't seem to find one on Blogger without some seriously confusing techy stuff. That said, so far WordPress has been nothing but a pain for me, and in reality their themes are very limited.

Does anyone have any opinion? Advice on how to adapt my Blogger blog to a three column layout? I started out fully convinced that I wanted to switch to WordPress, but now I'm wondering if there isn't a way I can compromise with Blogger.

Oh my. I messed with Wordpress for a little while and I hated it. Obviously a lot of people swear by it. But if you're looking for blog templates - just do a goodle search for free blogger templates. There are zillions out there. You and I have different taste I think, but I DO love the 3 column template. 2 places you can look - http://www.bloggerbuster.com/ She has templates and all kinds of tips. Also - http://lenatoewsdesigns.blogspot.com/ - I've gotten 2 templates there - that I've altered the headers for myself. But really - there are a lot of them out there that aren't complicated at all.
Can't help with finding a direction for your blog, my main one has no direction and meanders all over the place. Still - I love messing with how a blog looks.
Oh - also - copy the HTML from your current blog, into a test blog. Then any new template you want to try - try it there first. That's the best piece of advice I can give you! Also - any time you change your HTML - click on preview first - so you can see if you broke anything before you save it!
Good luck!

BetteJo, you are an angel, I swear. I tried to look for layouts but really had no idea how to deal with all the info. Thank you for giving me the confidence! My most recent hitch with WordPress is that their import tool doesn't work, and neither does their back-up import tool for when the real one is down...Not impressed. I will say that their support desk is fabulous though...

P.S. Goodle is obviously the new Google...but don't tell them I said that!
